Dr. Monique Adams-Derouen is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She is a graduate of the University of Houston-College of Optometry. Initially, she practiced in a well-known retina and general ophthalmology practice in Houston and then moved into private practice. She was appointed as an adjunct assistant professor for the UH-College of Optometry from May 1999 to May 2002. After graduating the University of Houston-College of Optometry, Dr. Michelle Melchor O.D. joined a large multi-disciplined practice in Houston until beginning a partnership with Dr. Monique Adams-DeRouen. Dr. Melchor is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, the Houston Optometric Association and the Harris County Optometric Society (HCOS). Dr. Deanna Gates, a native Houstonian, attended Texas A&M before receiving both her Bachelor and Doctor of Optometry degrees at the University of Houston. She completed her externship training at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana. As a therapeutic optometrist and licensed glaucoma specialist, Dr. Gates is trained to diagnose and treat many diseases and conditions of the eye. Dr. Priscilla Delgado is a local girl, born and raised in Houston Texas. She attended Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She later received her Doctorate of Optometry Degree from the University of Houston in 2014. Dr. Delgado completed an externship at La Nueva Casa De Amigos in Houston, Texas; and also at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas where she was recognized as an outstanding resident doctor.
